We’re going the extra mile for you

The team at Fatal Attraction, is going above and beyond to ensure all safety measures are in place, so we are “Covid Secure” and ready for re-opening the salon on 4th July.

We are currently in the process of contacting all our clients who had appointments booked during lockdown to reschedule and talk through the changes in our procedures and our revised services.

For those of you emailing us to book appointments, please bear with us, we will get in touch with you soon as soon as possible – we have simply been inundated with messages and we are gradually working our way through them.

At the moment we are waiting for our new on-line booking system to go live and we shall contact you again very soon, once this is up and running. Please note when booking appointments on-line we will require a 50% deposit. You can check out our revised cutting and colour lockdown menus here on our website – please scroll down for further details. 

We mentioned in our last email that we have a new post lockdown guide to which cutting and colouring services you need to book, so your stylist has the correct time allocated for your hair. If you are unsure of how long you will need for your appointment, don’t worry our stylists can discuss your requirements and advise you accordingly. We will be operating the reduced service menu and extra hours for July and August to start with, and this will be reviewed in accordance with the latest Government guidance.

Please be aware that if you have coloured your hair during the lockdown, or if it has been 6 months since your last visit, we will need to do a skin test 48 hours prior any colour service, and we will invite you in prior to your appointment.

For clients who are high risk or booking appointments for children, our stylists will contact you to make sure we allow enough time for you and to let you know when the salon is quieter.

Before your appointment we will be contacting you either by text or email with our safety information guide, so you can be fully prepared for your visit. Please rest assured that all equipment and chairs will be sanitised inbetween each appointment, to ensure that you and our team are safe. We need to allow extra time on all services for sanitation and will only be operating with a maximum of 4 stylists working at any one time, to ensure you have a safe and relaxing experience with us.

It’s not much longer to wait and we’ll update you regarding our on-line booking system availability very soon.

We have some exciting news!

We are so pleased to announce we will be opening our salon on Saturday 4th July.

Things will be a little bit different when we go back to the salon, but all of this will be communicated to you before your appointment. We are so excited to be back and thank you so much for your loyalty and continued support during the lockdown – we’ve really missed you and can’t wait to see you soon.

We’ll update you very shortly to let you know when our diaries are up and running and ready to take your bookings. We have new Health & Safety guidelines in place for us to be able to operate safely and we will inform you of our new procedures, so that you know what to do before your visit.

We will be working 7 days a week, with extended hours so we can accommodate you all.

COLCHESTER SALON REVISED OPENING HOURS

Monday: 8am – 7pm
Tuesday: 8am – 7pm
Wednesday: 8am – 7pm
Thursday: 8am – 5pm
Friday: 8am – 7pm
Saturday: 8am – 5pm
Sunday: 9am – 4.30pm

SUDBURY SALON REVISED OPENING HOURS

Monday: 8am – 7pm
Tuesday: 8am – 8pm
Wednesday: 9am – 7pm

As it has been at least 3 months since your last visit and we have new working restrictions, we will reschedule any clients who had appointments booked during lockdown asap, then we will open our online booking for those who want to make appointments. We will encourage you where possible to use our online booking system, as we are being inundated with emails and our phone lines are going mad!! Please bear with us while we get prepared, we will be in touch very soon.

As hairdressers, we often go the extra mile and change services when needed or upgrade to something extra, but sadly at the moment our stylists will have a set time with you for your appointment and will not able to change services on the day or meet all your requirements if you arrive late for your appointment. We are doing our utmost to ensure our systems run as smoothly as possible, so please take time to look at our post lock down cut and colour menus by scrolling down to the next post.

Don’t worry if you need our stylists’ recommendation on which service you will need, they will be available to offer help and advice via video consultations, so we can prepare you for your visit. The most important thing is that we allow enough time for your requirements, which will depend on the condition, thickness and length of your hair and managing your expectations, so you have a relaxing experience. 

We will be encouraging contactless payments where possible and taking deposits on all new bookings. Please note our cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to your appointment unless you show symptoms of coronavirus or have been asked to self isolate, then you will need to tell us at the earliest time possible so we can re-arrange your appointment.

We’re Making Plans

We are still awaiting Government guidance but in the meantime we thought you would like to check out our reduced service menu, so you are aware of all the changes we have been making to welcome you back.

Please note we will update our cut and colour menus to include prices as soon as possible.

We will be working on a split rota system, open daily with extended hours on some evenings to accommodate you all. Our reduced service menu will apply for the first 2 months after re-opening to ensure that our clients don’t miss out, until we can get back to our usual opening hours and full range of services.

As it’s been at least 3 months since your last visit, in the days leading up to our salon re-opening, our stylists will be available to offer help and advice via video consultations so we can prepare you for your visit. The most important thing is that we allow enough time for your requirements, which will depend on the condition, thickness and length of your hair, so please contact us if you are unsure based on the services set out below.

EXPRESS TRIM
Wash, tidy and go  – 45 mins
Whether it’s tidying short or fine hair, or a quick trim for those who are growing their hair longer, this service is perfect for gents and kids too.

BRING BACK MY STYLE!
Wash, restyle and blow dry  – 1hr 15 mins

If your hair is driving you wild and needs taming, we’ll bring back your pre-lock down style.

THE R&R EXPERIENCE
Wash, restyle and blow dry, includes SOS or Olaplex Treatment  – 1hr 30 mins
For those of you who have missed being pampered, this package includes a relaxing head massage with one of our luxury hair rescue treatments, to get you back on track. 

REGROWTH COLOUR

“The lock down root wait”
With it being at least 15 weeks since your last root top up, we will need to apply the colour in a different way to make sure that the result is even and coverage is perfect.  An SOS treatment to restore any lost strength or protection during lock down will be applied after to finish off the service. 

“That semi didn’t impress me much”
If a  blending colour has been applied to soften your root during lock down, we will top up your root colour and use one of our bespoke colour balancing formulas to match up any unevenness or warmth that may have been left from your top up.  A custom booster treatment will be applied after, to infuse the hair with enhanced shine and hydration.

“Box dye dullness”
If you have needed a little colour top up during lock down to cover any white hair, the result may have become darker or flatter than normal or be slightly patchy. We will apply your preferred root colour and a detox service to the hair where the colour needs to be tweaked.  A toner to match the colour root to tip will be applied after as well as an SOS treatment to lock in your new colour.

FULL HEAD BLONDE

“Root overload”
At the edge of your seat – awaiting the return of that perfect blonde all the way to the root? We have you covered  with a technique that is designed to create an even blonde, even with the largest of roots.
An SOS will be applied after the hair has been lightened to keep the hair at its strongest, followed by a bespoke blonde shade of your choice.

“Detox & lighten”
Has silver shampoo become a bit of a lock down obsession, or you have tried to lift your roots yourself?
We will remove any unwanted tone from the hair, lighten your root and glaze the hair with your desired shade of blonde. 
An SOS will be infused into the hair to lock in your tone and keep the hair in perfect condition. 

“Detox & transition”
An overload of roots got you itching for a whole new look? Fancy embracing a darker shade or getting your texture groove on with highlight?  Our team will create the perfect package to achieve the new you.

BALAYAGE

“Work with what you’ve grown”
Embracing a more low maintenance colour but need a little boost? We will tailor the perfect placement of Blonde to enhance your natural colour. An SOS will be applied to keep the hair strong and in perfect condition followed by a toner to give the full head a perfect glow, that oozes effortless glamour.

“Bring your Balayage back to life”
Missing that flawless blend and multi-tonal locks? Never fear, we will return your Balayage to its former glory.  An SOS will be applied to keep the hair full of life, followed by a toner to create a custom blonde and a custom booster to give instant colour longevity.

“New beginnings”
Over done it with the silver shampoo or struggling with the left over pink from an impromptu “lock down made me do it”- no problem. A custom detox or colour rest will be applied to the hair, followed by an SOS treatment to perfect the hair, ready for a new bespoke blonde infused into the hair.

HIGHLIGHTS

“Foil me- please”
Missing that perfect foiled colour straight from the root but enjoying a little bit of natural breaking up your colour? Your normal foil service will be carried out, due to the long period between visits, some of your natural will remain giving you a softer regrowth and a low maintenance colour. An SOS will be applied after the foils to keep the hair in perfect condition followed by a toner of your desired shade.
This service is offered as a ½ head or full head.

“Silver shampoo overload”
Has silver shampoo become a bit of a lock down obsession or you have tried to lift your roots yourself? “Foil me like crazy”
Roots driving you mad and wanting to return the the intense foil finish? Due to the extended period since your last colour we will need to put twice the amount of foils in to return the hair to its former self.  An SOS treatment is added to the hair after your foils are removed to keep it strong and hydrated, a bespoke toner of your desired blonde is glazed over the top followed by a bespoke booster treatment to keep your hair feeling and looking perfect.

Countdown to re-opening

Following revised guidance, we are now preparing to open from 4th July onwards. 

Please note this is a provisional date, we are waiting for final confirmation and we’ll contact you as soon as we have a definite date. Until then we are not able to take bookings.

Rescheduling missed appointments…

When we are permitted to do so, we shall be rescheduling bookings for those clients who had to miss their appointments during the lockdown. For those clients wishing to book but didn’t have an appointment, please don’t worry, we will contact you as soon as we can.

Our new salon experience…

We want to update you with the changes we have made to make our salon and team “Covid secure” so you can rest assured, knowing you’re in safe hands. Although it will be different, we aim to make your visit as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. 

• To accommodate the backlog of appointments, we shall be opening 7 days a week and late evenings. Our team will be working on a split shift / rotational basis.

• We have created more space within the salon, to ensure social distancing measures are adhered to wherever possible.

• We will allow an extra 15 minutes between appointments so we can sanitise the chairs and equipment.

• There will be a limited service menu due to time restrictions. So if for example you want a complete restyle cut and colour, we may have to split this over two appointments. Further details will follow soon.

• Due to the extra precautions we are taking, there maybe a small temporary “Covid secure” surcharge to cover extra time needed inbetween appointments and the cost of PPE and regular deep cleaning, which will be reviewed in line with the latest guidance.

Salon etiquette…

• Appointments must be booked in advance,  as we are not able to cater for walk ins at present.

• Only the person booking the appointment may enter the salon.

• We will have dedicated times for families, the elderly or anyone at higher risk to visit the salon, when it will be quieter. 

• We will provide bottled water, unfortunately we cannot offer hot drinks at the moment.

• Please only bring the bare essentials with you and avoid bringing in bulky shopping bags etc.

• Sadly we are not able to offer magazines, but you are welcome to bring your own, or a book and we also have free wifi.
